I think you probably worry too much really does your friend have hep c?
Again no known cases from this method of transmission. If you are still conserved you can test for antibodies to hep c in 6 months. En even if by some incredible stroke of bad luck you some how did get hep c get diagnose, get treated, get cured. No worries either way.
Thanks for the reply. Well he's a playful kitty so he scratches a fair bit. I was sliced buy his claw. It took a few seconds for a little bit of blood to come out my scratch but it was pretty shallow. I washed my hands straight away though. no blood on paws that I could see. he makes my friend bleed all the time. but I think there was at least a couple of hours later before I got scratched.?? What do you think?
Did the other person bleed? Did kitty have bloody paws? Were you sctatchd deeply enough to bleed?
This is not on the lists of modes of transmission so I think the odds are extremely negligible to almost non existent
