TWO MONTHS AFTER FINISHING CHEMO FOR STAGE 3 LIVER DISEASE CAUSED BY HEP C - I DID 48 WKS OF CHEMO.  MY BLOOD WORK SHOWS THE ALT IS 462 AND THE AST IS 209.  DOES THAT MEANS I STILL HAVE THE HEP C

Are you saying you did treatment twice?

The elevations mean something is going on, but it could be a lot of things. Get your viral load checked. Did they ever tell you if you went undetectable during treatment?

I am sorry but I don't think those liver enzymes look good for clearing.   After treating my enzymes spiked - higher than ever on treatment and before, and it did indicate a relapse for me.  if there is any way you can get a PCR test early go ahead and do it.  What was your viral load at week 12?  Did you get a PCR test at weel 4?  What was the first week you cleared?

In order to know if you have hep c you will have to have a HEP C RNA VIRAL PCR test ran.
