I hope you have success, and thank you so much for responding. I will be starting this week. I know this will work for you I hve been getting things in order which is why I have not been on here. I am also in school with online classes so I have been trying real hard to get ahead. Thanks again.
Good luck with your starting treatment and congratulations on your ten years sober. I have three years clean and sober myself.
I started triple therapy last week and the nurse showed me how to do the first shot but I did it on my own at home. So far the side effects have been minimal, mainly fatigue and mild nausea. I take my 2nd shot tonight.
Stay in touch here and we can all help each other.
today i go to my class on the drugs side effects, then off to do another panel of blood and then just wait for the nurse to call me in. She is gonna do the first shot with me, i assume that is normal? Finally I just want this to be done, and my life back. That is feeling good, i miss it. I still do my walks...3 miles except sat and sun. Hope all is well out there.
I am just learning how to work this, which is one of the reasons it takes a bit for me to get back to the responses. I am currently enrolled in online classes and have seven to go then i have my BA in Math Education. It has been a long rode. I started the on line classes after my AA because it was getting harder to get up everyday, and not for lack of motivation. I knew something was wrong but doctors only hear what they want to at times. Now we are on track and working towards the end goal of getting my energy and health back. Thanks for the response!
Great for you, being committed is really important. It looks as if you know all about that so you should not have a problem there... As for side effects they hit people different, mine was pretty mild. Whats important is you and your doctor stays on top of them... I'm guessing you will be doing the Incivek? Hope you stick around here, lots of good people that have went through this and are glad to help.
"I guess it is one of those things that in order to get here you have to go there."
I like that, very true............Wishing you the best.
Thank you treatment starts next week or beginnig of the following week. It seems I have almost finished jumping through all of the hoops. One more set of blood work and one class, need to take the certificate to my nurse to prove i did the class, the one that talks about all the side effects and how i need to be committed.
thank you this has been hard. I was a drinker and a good one at that but drugs was not part of the package. When I got the news i felt so betrayed...strange but I did. My life has changed since i quit drinking and now my life is changing again. I guess it is one of those things that in order to get here you have to go there.
Both numbers are the same, the 5.48 is just another way of saying your viral load is 305,000. Which is considered a low viral load, way cool on being sober 10 years.......... Best to you and welcome here to the forum.
