can i get hep c from breathing in the smell of fecal matter?

Can hep c be contracted in close proxsimity to fecal matter by breathing it in? How contagiouse is it I was told that it can be transfered by breathing it in (poop smell) . What procasions  should i take i have to bath this person an they were diapers to that i change. I make sure they have their own shower items i wear rubber gloves an wash my hands after wards to with anti bacterial soap an i use alot of lysol spray on door nobs walls ect.

No you cannot and whoever told you that must have breathed so many poop fumes that they no longer think rationally.  Nose plugs work well for that affliction.

Hepc is transmitted through blood to blood contact.

Hepatitis A can be transmitted via oral-fecal contact; it is very different than Hep C. If you have concerns, a vaccine for HAV is available,

The only way you can get HCV is blood to blood contamination. If the person your taking care of has an open sore or cut (bleeding) You would take precautions not to get any of their blood into a cut or sore that you have.
