Get the county to give you a free phone so you can keep appointments and have a way to contact you for other county services like housing and disability.
What AWorriedMom said. There are county services in most states. If nothing else, call a crisis center for the county you live in. Let them know you are in crisis and have no options. This might get you on a road to the doctor and testing you need.
Whatever it takes. I wish you the best.
There are places that can help in some States. Please call Help4Hep. They have data bases of resources available for patients and they may be able to help you. Ask for Robin. They answer the toll-free line, Monday through Friday from 9AM eastern to 7PM. The number is 1-877‑435‑7443. Good luck.
Check with your county for free services including Insurance. County clinics and such offer free doctors appointments for a Primary Care Doctor. They can help guide you.
There has to be outreach programs where you are. One step at a time. Don't give up!
We don't know where you are in the world. This would make a difference in where you can get help.
I have been diagnosed, but I can't afford to go to a specialist and find out what genotype I have. That requires expensive blood work. I know I could qualify for patient assistance for the medication. I just need a doctor to prescribe it. Thank you for your comment. I just signed up for this and responded quickly. Thanks.
Hi
I don't know how to address your housing issue but to be treated you would at least need a doctor to prescribe medicine. Have yo ubeen diagnosed with hepatitis c?
Once you have a prescription if it is for Harvoni or Sovaldi you can contact My Support Path (1-855-769-7284)
http://www.mysupportpath.com/
The can provide payment assistance for patients reducing the cost of the medicines to a $5 copay if you qualify.
Good luck
