Suppose we could get a group discount? (hehe)
Ain't that the darn truth. My next question is can I have some Botox
I would recommend that you see an opthamologist at 12 weeks eot. There are retina issues associated with Sovaldi, I had a retina scan before Tx and after, and a follow up appt at 6 months eot, and will have another at 12 months eot with my opthamologist. I also had to use eye drops because of dry eyes during and after Tx. Just because we are getting older doesn't mean we have to give up quality of life, espesially since we are slaying our hcv dragons. Don't ignore it!
Thanks for the positive reinforcement. I am trying to wait it out until at least 12 weeks EOT. It may be I'm just getting old, going down the backside toward 60. I haven't driven in a while due to HE, but I would at least like to see stop signs. I have been using moisturizing drops which helps the dry eye but not the blurred vision.
my EOT was in the end of July, and my eyes were the only thing that obviously improved during and after the treatment.
But now, almost 5 months EOT, I feel infinitely better, especially since I began to address the infection that flared up during the treatment. Also, i used to take the same toxic medication in the past, wile still having HCV, but now I tolerate it infinitely better.
There is a lot to look forward to :)
That is good to hear, Hope! I look forward to that. jow long did it take? Pat
my vision improved after treatment (I was on Sovaldi + riba for 12 weeks, got my SVR thanks) and now I'm back to reading without glasses. Last year my eyes were very dry and cloudy and were getting progressively worse. The first thing I noticed after treatment was that mt sclera became much whiter and my eyes water often, especially upon awakening. Now I am certain that my eye problems were caused by HCV.
Mama & Dee:
I posted about this very issue on the SocialForum! The dryness is still awful and vision seems worse in the evenings.
Others have had this, too and say it can clear up over time. You know my memory, I can't remember who. But it is driving me nuts now as I read all the time! Pat
Hi there! I am so sorry, my vision was really affected the first time. My eyes were dry all the time. I used eye drops constantly. The second time was the same way. At one point after the second tx it was discovered that my thyroid medication wasn't working so after fixing that it did improve.
You could also see your eye doctor to be sure. I would give it some time.
Again, I am really sorry this is happening and I hope that it will improve.
Take Care, Dee
