I hope (call and ask) that the test they are giving you this time is more sensitive than that old <615 archaic test which is relatively useless.

For example my 4 week test showed the number 411.  Had I the 615 test I would have errantly thought I was really UND when I was certainly NOT.  And not is not.  Only true UND is UND when it comes to determining whether or not we have hit the mark.

At week 12 if you only have a two log drop but are not UND to a very sensitive test (like to 10) then you really really need to consider extending to 72 weeks to change your outcome to a positive one.

Close ain't close in this game unfortunately.

Call them back and get the hard copy if you can faxed over. Then ask why you are having such a worthless test?  Please........you truly do need to switch things up this time in order to have a different outcome.

agree with Fl,

did your doc increase your riba this time? try a different interferon? add something to the mix, like aliana?
If not undetectable at 12 weeks I would stop and wait for the new drugs coming out in the next few years. Of course providing you don't have serious liver damage (stage 3 or more).

Just curious. If this is your second time around the block what are you and the doc doing differently this time?  Different meds, dosages, length of treatment?  If length of treatment is based on when you become undetected it may be an idea to get the next pcr sooner than week 12 - if you are just a breath away at week 8.  Good luck.
