So Tired

I contacted Hep C 28 years ago. It was dx in April of this year. I am on peginterferon alfa-2a and 5 caps of Ribavirin. After 3 weeks of tx, my WBC was 1.8 and my neutrophils 27. I am now on Nupogen 2x/week. I was extremely tired before the Nupogen but now my stamina is worse. I put clean linen on my bed and felt as if I needed to crawl under it. Is this normal? I am just starting a 1 year tx. How is your ability to work during this time? The slightest thing brings me to a chair.

It's more likely that it's the ribavirin affecting your hemoglobin level and less so the fact that you are on Neupogen.  On the report that prompted the need for Neupogen for the neutrophils, what was the hgb level?  Might check with the doc for anemia which could cause excessive tiredness, weakness and the unremitting need to roll up into a ball and keep a real close association with your bed.  Hope you feel better.

Most people here can identify with your situation.
I found that there were good days and bad days.
I did make it into work-actually diversion is the best therapy.
Try not to surrender to the fatigue, you can feel you can't make it through the day but can almost forget about it when you get your motor running.
There will be days when you just have to lay in bed but try and keep them to a minmum.
Others will no doubt have encouraging words for you.
