Week 6 Labs~including HEPTIMAX

at week 4 i was only 10k from a 2 log drop. my NP was encouraged by my results, that she wanted me to get a HEPTIMAX at week 6. wooohooo, here it is:

VL = 4,879 (pre-tx at 1.3 M)
VL LOG = 3.69
AST = 31 (pre-tx at 190)
ALT = 33 (pre-tx at 299)
HGB = 9.8 (currently on Procrit, 2 weeks)

as i am a CC type alleal, my NP attended a conference where my HEPA spoke, and he said that a gradual decline in LFT results are desired to achieving positive results. she was going to get me more info on it.

well i guess to say that i am thrilled with the results would be an understatement. now if i could only get those damn riba pills out of the stupid little cardboard box, so i don't have to stab the stupid box with a kitchen knife....

wooohooo, next stop UUUUUNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDDDDDD.....

Uncle,
Congratulations! Such encouraging news for those of us in early tx. My 4wk VL test is this Monday and my fingers are crossed. I'm new at all this and was wondering what is a Heptimax test?

Babs,
I so hear you about getting that stinking cover off the syringe, I've twisted and wiggled, needle guard up or down doesn't seem to make it any easier - for me its the worst part of the shot. I'm off to buy a box of latex gloves - thanks for the info.

maybe i'll get my chainsaw out for my new shipment of riba next week....hmmmm

what good news! keep up the good work. the riba box and getting cover off syringe have thrown me into riba-tirades too. small fingernail scissors or even a ball point pen worked better in the cardboard and were way safer than the large henkel. latex gloves were a help getting cover off syringe with out piercing myself! this treatment stuff is dangerous!! keep it up, babs

Congrats Unc!

Isn't it amazing how fast those liver enzymes drop once the viral load drops off? All the nasty inflammation is gone, liver is healing up. Absolutely amazing.

Wishing you the best of continued success!

Yes!  Looks like you've got the virus shouting "uncle"!

Save the kitchen knife for your veggies!  You need to kill the virus but not lose fingers in the process! ;)  You need to get yourself of one of those exacto-knives, or one of those retractable razor-blade box cutters for 1.99 at the hardware store.

Wishing you <5 on your next VL! ~eureka

Your on your way! Riba rage and the kitchen knife did not mix well for me.
Stay positive, it will all be over before you know it. Just keep polishing that scooter and have it ready.

Way to go, unc ! Heading in the right direction. Are they going to run an 8 week PCR? With the hgb decline and the drop in LFT's I wouldn't doubt we hear a loud UND from you in a couple of weeks. Hang in there and don't stab yourself with the kitchen knife. :-)
