Here is some information from MedHelp.org on how Hep C is diagnosed. Read it and get the proper tests you need to confirm that you have HCV.

If you do get a confirmed diagnosis, the below article includes some next steps. Please come back to the site and let the community here know how you’re doing!

Sandi is right, hep c moves very slowly so in addition to your youth you have caught it very early. It is not a death sentence, there is a lot of help. We will help you as much as we can. Easier said than done, try not to worry. Keep in touch. Dee

The really good news is that hcv is verrry slow to cause damage to the liver, so you have plenty of time to get treated if the second test confims it. Congratulations on getting clean, and from this moment on do all that you can to get healthy. Eat a liver friendly diet, stop smoking and drinking if you can, you will want to be as healthy as possible to show your docs that you serious about getting and succeeding in treatment. Read as much as possible from good sight, ie the Mayo Clinic, etc. you will want to be well informed so you can ask the right questions. We WILL be here to support you too. Let us know how it goes.
thank you so much

First you need to verify that you actually have HCV, some people are able to clear it.
You are young so you have that going for you.
I'm sure you are afraid, we were all afraid when we were first diagnosed.
How do you know you got it a year ago?
If so you are very lucky, most don't know they have it for many many years.  I did not know I had it until 30 years had passed.  I was checked at 20 years post exposure, and got a false negative.
So, you need to get your viral load checked and your genotype to see what treatment you need to do.
There is a lot of help on here. I'm sure others will be along soon to help.
Good luck
