considering the Alinia treatement

Hello my name is Anca, i'm from Romania. I was infected with Hepatitis c virsu a couple of years ago. I've tried several treatment wit Pegasys and Ribavirine, the virus dropped but it is still detectable. Now the reason for which i've decided to write on this forum is because i red some of your questions and i saw that some of you have started a treatment with Alinia. My doctor suggested this new treatment Pegasys with ribavirine and Alinia. The problem is that Alinia is not available in Europe. How can i purchase Alinia from abroad. From what i browsed on the internet i saw that Alinia is mainly available in the USA and Canada.

I was a slow responder and didn't clear until 21 weeks. Because I was a slow responder I did 72 weeks of INF and high-dose ribavirin and added Alinia. Also, I took Alinia for 6 weeks after finishing the INF and ribavirin. I'm now more than one year out and am SVR. I had no additional side effects with Alinia except for brightly colored urine. Of course, I don't know if I'm SVR because I did 72 weeks or because I added Alinia or because of both.

If you can get your hands on it and you can afford it, I would recommend it. The alternative is to wait for the new drugs that will be coming out soon. They are very promising.

this is a real pharmacy in swiss, they have shop and also sell online, you can also call or if you are norther italy/south swiss you can go directly at the shop

they don't sell generic from india so you can order only real alinia from romark, the price is of course little high higher than generic

from swiss there are no customs in europe so you can receive it in 24hours although if they don't have stock it might take 2-3 weeks to order it from romark US, in any case from this pharmacy you are 100% it is alinia

i have also tried generic from canada pharmacies but the first order is blocked at customs...

Can Alinia be given alone or does it have to be in combination with another drug/ other drugs? Someone please answer my question ASAP. It will be much appreciated. Thank you.

Yes, you are correct. It is used for parasites. There was a study in Egypt that showed big promise for Alinia with SOC. Almost 90% that were in the study are cured!  It is a pretty harmless drug. Babies can take it. Little sides, I have heard. I sure would get a hold of it if I could!  If you look in the archives there are lots of posts about Alinia. Some dr's here are now giving scripts to their patients for the duration of tx and afterwards. It can be prescribed off label, meaning that it is used for something different than what it was meant for. After the conference in Boston AASLD in Nov. Some Dr's that are willing to go out of the box to treat their patients are using it.  Good luck!  Perhaps your Dr. will do so.

I have not taken it yet, but will soon. It is new but looks VERY promising when taken along with the other meds. Some people here are currently on it and I am sure they will weigh in soon. God Bless.

from what i red i understood that the primary use of Alinia is for other problems not for hepatitis... my point is that for those problems Alinia is only prescribed for just let's say 10-20 days... and for the tretment to be effective i have to take it for at least 48 weeks so you can see where the problem is.... any suggestions?

thanks a lot i didn;t expect someone to answer so rapidly... i will ask my doctor about this Daxon drug. Did you take the alinia treatment? I want to start it but being given the fact that this tretment is just at an experimental level i have some doubts about it. I;ve red that it is efficient but that is only in official sources and i would like to hear something about this treatment from people who actually experienced it. I wish you the best

You can order through an online pharmacy in Mexico w/o a prescription. The drug you'd be getting from Mexico is called Daxon and it's a brand named drug, licensed by Romark by Ziegfried Rhein....it's perfectly good and a quarter of the price of the drug offered here...(Romark is of course an American company out of Florida, just wrote their info the other day so go figure) Daxon in Mexico might likely have websites representing pharmacies there. Go online and google Mexican online pharmacies.
