Fret, I haven't lost any weight either and on my last tx i gained 10k!  Argh!!!  It never went away.  This time I have been fluctuating a kilo or two either side of my starting weight.  I must admit that I have really made an effort not to lose significantly as I was afraid they would drop my riba down as my weight was borderline to getting 1000 or 1200 per day.

Charm, like many others have mentioned I am having a love hate affair with food while txing.  Sometimes I just can't get enough and tastes are amazing (less common now tho) and other days I can't face food and have to force myself to eat.  Also, I've been eating more fat and oil to help the riba absorb (I know there is some debate over this one but I'm going the middle ground).

Something I have noticed since I increased my oil and fat consumption, especially with Virgin Coconut Oil and Fish Oil, is that my skin gets less dehydrated and itchy.  In fact it has been about 3 months since I have had the incessant itching and scratching that drove me crazy at the beginning.

Anyway, all the best for tx!!

Epi :)

LOL!

Yeah, I was looking forward to at least losing a few pounds once tx started.....um, so far I have gained about 5.

So, the one sx I wanted remains elusive.  But at least I have really long eye lashes (and bushy brows)   =)

Oh, well...it's worth it.

Hope you all get the real deal and have easy sx!

I will be on the boceprevir trial as well, I hope I lose some weight.  I could stand to lose at least 20 or 30 pounds.  "What a drag it is getting old", hey good lyrics for a song.lol  In the last 2 yrs. I've gained a ton, luckily my wife has gained as well or I would truly feel out of place, I'm lucky she don't read what I write.  lol

------is it normal to eat a lot ?

I go through phases with food.  Either wanting it, or having no appitite.  So, for me, the new normal means there is no more normal, LOL!!!  But it all seems to work out.  Just lisen to your body and be kind to it.

Wish you all the best in your tx.  Hope ya get the real stuff =)

Your on your way to a victory against the dragon! Some people say not to take tylenol, but I always took two right before my shot, which was mostly on tuesday night and I had to get up and go to work, so it helped me sleep better, even though I could never sleep more than a few hours at a time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! During my tx's I found that my worst daze were not the day after but later in the week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My appetite has been fluctuating during tx. Some periods I can't keep away from food and feel constantly hungry. I just went through 10 days of having difficulties eating and today I am so into food, it's almost pathetic. It's about all i can really think about, craving for all kinds of food.

Stage 1, mild activity means that your liver has minimal damage -- a good thing.  (Stage 2-3 is fibrosis, Stage 4 is cirrhosis, with lots of damage.)  Like you, my husband took shot #1 yesterday, and no injection site reaction either.  Keep us posted how you're doing!
Best of luck to you!

Congrats on starting... Sorry to hear you're burning up... I've never had that reaction, but as sunqueen and Rocker say, plenty of water will help and do not hesitate to take more tylenol, if you need to.

God bless,

Marcia
