Congratulations on SVR! You will want to ask your doctor what kind of follow up you will require (e.g. perhaps yearly blood work, perhaps a yearly ultrasound or scan of your liver). Not sure about this, but I imagine they will want to monitor the health of your liver a bit more closely than someone who has never had HCV. Best wishes!

The absence of HCV RNA by PCR 6 months after the end of a treatment course is considered a sustained virologic response (SVR).
