Hi, when i was on treatment, i drank ensure or any other drug store equivalent that was less expensive. It seemed to give me a little more energy. I am not sure about the immune system, check with your doctor and ask him about it.
I have been thinking that maybe ritalin or adderall would be wonderful!! clean house, run my dogs, clean kennels and maybe even get a horse back ride in..........all in one day
Be careful with those "natural energy" mixtures. There are a lot of ingredients that are hard on the liver, and they won't tell you on the bottle.
Mostly we just have to accept that our body is in the fight of its life, and it takes a lot of energy to kill the dragon. If you try to push yourself too much you will feel worse, and you will also weaken your body. Acceptance is hard, but it is only for a year... and then hopefully you will feel better than ever when this is all over.
eat right and get lots of rest
Hi, what helped me some what was the protein powder and coffee. Also sleeping when your body demands it is something you can't get away from. Pushing myself while on tx was not really an option. I was exhausted and like you tried to find things that would help. The problem was that I would pay the next day. I found those bottles of 5 hour power was really helpful. After tx I was still exhausted and I asked my PC doctor," isn't there something that could help me?" I am weak and tired all the time. I have heard of something that helps people with cancer on chemo. He put me on Provogil and that really helped me. This was after treatment though so I don't know if you could take this now. I couldn't hurt to ask.
Good luck, hang in there, it is hard but worth it at the end to many people
