Hi there,
There have been non-responders here involved in both Telaprevir and Boceprevir trials and there are others as well. What trial are you going into?
Trish
I am a responder, but I just finished a clinical trial with the SOC plus a NS5A inhibitor cocktail. I stopped a successful treatment at 24 weeks. I had genotype 1a, a hard one to get rid of. I felt that I was very well monitored. The trial nurse was informative and efficient. The trial Dr. had much less time to answer my questions, so I am so fortunate to have such a great nurse.
A very important thing to do is take your medication as required. %60 of patients in trials don't. I used an AM / PM, 7 day pill container, and left it along with the date and time log in the kitchen, where I would trip over it, to help me remember. By being punctual, the trial results will be more accurate, and people like you will pave the way for better, more efficient treatments, in the future. We are all in the same boat. Take Care, Pedro
