1yr post tx.

hi everyone,
i hope everyone is doing well. i have a concern and wonder if anyone might have any input. i'm 1yr post tx, i have suffered from depression for 10yrs and have been on antidepressants for many yrs. here's my issue, for the past couple of weeks, my depression has been worse than ever in my life, could the meds from tx changed my chemistry that much that things from many yrs ago are making my depression that bad again? i dont know and dont uderstand it. i have an appt to see my doctor in a month, he cant get me in any sooner. has anyone experenced this?
anything that anyone can come up with or any advice that anyone might have is welcomed. thanks everyone.
for anyone still in tx, keep plugging alone, good luck and god bless.

Hey Irish!  Long time no.  It's good to see you, but I am sorry you are having this issue with depression.

Post tx, I got hit pretty hard with it as well, but it was much closer to EOT and my doc said I had just stopped the Zoloft too soon.

My first thought is to call the doc back and make them aware of how you are feeling. Schedules change all the time, maybe they can put you on a cancellation list.  Or just politely make them aware that you will be calling often to make sure nothing sooner has opened up.

I agree that getting up and out and about can help.  Sometimes a stroll, or evern better a brisk walk, can get those endorphins going and make you feel better.

Remember how good it feels to come here and vent??  Well, try that too.  That's always been great therapy for me =)

In the meantime..... a big (((((HUG))))).

Wishing you well,

Isobella

Hi Irish,

That's a really important issue for me but I don't have a clue as to the answer.

Your  doc's appointment must seem a long way off right now but if you try to get through the waiting one day at a time and maybe get yourself outdoors as much as you can, the wait may not drag as much. If it seems too far off to manage, phone back and say so.

I can't stay to write more this morning but will get back to you later this evening or on the weekend.

Take care and do something splurgy for yourself today.

Talk soon.
