There are some decisions that only YOU can make based upon your personal situation, your doctor's recommendations and information garnered from forums such as this. At 18 years of age, I understand that this can be daunting, heck, it is at any age, but it really comes down to personal choice.

Best of luck in whatever you decide.........Pam

What the heck is your genotype, that is the most important thing to take into consideration.

I would say the extent of damage, the time you have had the disease, and the tx available are all important decisions besides your ability emotionally to wait for better tx. If you ask this question you need to provide that kind of information.

Since I believe you have had HCV a very short time and have no damamge you have many options. As I mentioned before you can wait beyond telaprevir and boceprevir until there is interferon free treatment and would be easiest on your body. If you were my son that would be my advice to you.

At the same time as paen53 mentioned this is a personal decision.

Good luck,
-Dave

I would agree with Dave...if you were my son and you had minimal damage I would advise to wait until Pharma gets this even more figured out than  they do today. The treatments are only going to get better and better, however as Pam says it is always you along with your docs that make the decision.

Best of luck
