Looking for a surgeon for inguinal hernia

Hi all,

I am writing on behalf of my SO, who has an inguinal hernia. He was probably born with it. He is 25 male. He is opposed to even twilight sedation, so we are looking for a surgeon in Rhode Island or Massachusetts who will be willing to do open surgery on his hernia, using mesh and spinal anesthetic to numb him below the waist. He wants to be awake for the procedure. Please let me know if you know of a surgeon like this in our area, who will be willing to meet his preferences.
