Could I have herpes?

I'm concerned I have contracted herpes - I have only had one sexual partner, and he has never exhibited any signs of herpes (We have dated for a year and a half, prior to this he was married and he had only been with his wife). For the past week or so I have had a rash of some kind on my buttocks, in between my cheeks near the anus (I occasionally suffer from hemorrhoids as well and I have been more sensitive lately). At first I thought it was poison ivy, but it has never really itched. I began treating it like poison ivy and started taking epsom salt baths. The irritation seems to go down after the baths, and I have been trying to keep the area as dry as possible. But as the days progressed, what look like ulcers formed as well and it is extremely uncomfortable. For the most part, no other areas have been effected, but today I noticed two red bumps on my vaginal lip. We do not have anal sex, and that is where most of the irritation and sensitivity is. I have scheduled an appointment with my OB/GYN later this week, but I'm so stressed. Do you think it is likely I'm suffering from herpes? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Note that herpes lesions as a rule will not have pus, only if the sores become infected.
I do not think this sounds like herpes. As you suggest, an outbreak is likely to occur at the site of entry to the body, which is mostly the vagina.
See a doctor immediately to swab anything of concern.
Maybe you could consider mutual testing for STDs with your partner.

I'm not expert but through my reading of many symptoms pages since I slept with a girl had had hsv2 it sorta sounds like it I know if yellow puss comes out of them it's a high chance of herpes. Are they itchy? Did u feel burning tingling in ur infected area before they showed up? If so again high chance.. if the ulcer are flat and circular sounds like syphilis. Even though I don't have symptoms I know what ur going through shoot a msg if u have anymore questions. Also Fleetwood20 is very knowledgeable if u need better advice.
