Anal herpes

If I never again have anal sex and have no signs of herpes any where else on my body can I still spread it if my anus stays off limits ?

Do you have anal herpes? Have you been officially diagnosed? If you were, how were you diagnosed?

The thing about herpes is that it infects nerve groups. Genital herpes infects the sacral ganglia, which affects the area that boxer shorts cover, essentially. This means that you can get outbreaks in that area, and are infectious from that area.

You shed the virus from your penis and anus, so even if you only get outbreaks anally, you could still transmit the virus by having penetrative sex where you are the penetrative partner.

No I don’t know I just had mild rash show up but I didn’t get it anywhere else mouth or penis
A mild rash can be anything - an allergic reaction, irritation from something, eczema, chafing, dry skin, etc., etc. Herpes would be near the top of my list of possible causes.

Since it's concerning you, you should let a doctor see it.
Oops - that should be "Herpes wouldn't be near the top of my list..."
But what I am not understanding if I was with an infected person wouldn’t I have gotten it somewhere else also?
I'm not sure I understand what you're asking.

If you had anal sex with someone who has genital herpes, you'd only have it genitally.

If you got it from someone giving you oral sex/rimming, and you also kissed that person, it's possible that you could also have it orally. That would be oral and genital hsv1, as the number indicates the strain, not the location.

Herpes isn't a fully body infection. You won't get it on your arms, legs, back, chest. It's oral (which can mean mouth and nose) or genital (which can mean penis, vagina and anus).
So if I had it in my anal could it also show up on my penis or mouth I did or on this person and anal this person gave me oral and kissed this person so my ? Is shouldn’t I have gotten a sore on my penis or mouth also ?
I meant I did oral one this person
Okay, so first, you don't even know if you have herpes. You have a rash. You need to go see if that's what you have. Is there an urgent care, Planned Parenthood, or anything you can go to today to get this checked? You could have a fungal infection or something and not herpes.

If you have herpes on your anal area, you might get sores on your penis, or maybe not. You might get it orally.

You need to see a doctor. If they think it's herpes, you need to have them do a type specific culture on it, or a PCR swab. Show them this if you have to. A visual diagnosis is wrong a lot, so don't let them just visually diagnose you. If you've had the rash for more than a few days, ask for a PCR swab - it's more sensitive.

Let us know what happens.
