Anxiety over possible herpes infection
Ive been having some herpes symptoms over the last few months around the time of my period. The symptoms I have are itching/burning sensations by my inner labia, outer labia, and anal area. Also inner thighs and upper groin/pubic area.
The confusion is that these symptoms occur with weird folliculitis/pimples/boils. If I have herpes then my initial outbreak was a bunch of bumps after shaving that were clustered in the area under my belly button/where my pubic hair was, inner thighs, butt area, but not as much on the outer labia and none on the inner. However these areas itched and were red.
The bumps were large and hard like boils, they rose and some of them had a hole with puss eventually. They really hurt and itched, and created a large rash. They took a long time to heal(weeks) and some left purple/blue scars :(
Then, around my period during later months (and sometimes just randomly) I would feel these tingling, itching; burning sensations in all of these areas. Random bumps appeared, mainly around my butt and inner thigh. There were a few on my lower legs, stomach, lower back and I sometimes develop a rash on my chest. I have been getting some acne on my face too which is very strange and unusual for me. An occasional blood blister appears on my chest.
Two months ago, a blister appeared halfway down my inner thigh. Idk if it was a blister, it was like a flat pink area but it kind of had a puss or maybe that was just a blister popping? Last month, I got a boil on my butt(upper area near the crack) that turned huge, hard with pus and painful :( took not terribly long to heal as I treated it but was very painful. I’ve never gotten a boil in my life before...
I feel one coming on my chin now. I really don’t want a boil on my chin..
This month, my labia was itchy the day before I got my period (along with all the other areas I stated before) and I inspected it. I found a lot of weird things that I researched and figured out were papillae (thought they were warts at first). Using flash and spreading my labia, I found a little red dot that looks like a spot of blood but I think it’s a blister. It’s so tiny you can barely see, and it is bright red (not an ulcer or a bump tho), and it’s round. I just started crying when I saw it because it has to be herpes..
Anyway, I suspect I contracted this from my ex bf. He said he never had any stds (he had two past sexual partners before me who were virgins) but maybe he got cheated on or one of them had herpes from someone else or something.
I know I need to get tested, but I’m very nervous and anxious about it. Last time I went to the doc was cuz I got a false positive pregnancy test and so I requested a blood test. Never been so anxious and stressed in my life cuz it happened days after my boyfriend dumped me and I felt so alone. I know it’ll be the same with getting the herpes test and I’ll have to wait even longer for results.
I can’t focus on anything anymore. I’m so stressed out, and worried maybe I have both herpes and staph. It’s ruining my life and I feel like nobody will ever want me again. I also don’t want to deal with all this itching, bumps and boils.
