So I don't truly believe this is herpes but I also don't know where to post this question so any advice would be much appreciated.
About a year and a half ago I had a sexual encounter with someone who had had many partners. It was protected but we did kiss. I had some itching in the groin area and some single bumps around my lips about a month after, so of course I was worried. Three months or so later I got tested for hsv 1 and 2 and was told i didn't have either. Time passed and the itching in my groin came and went, after about 2 or 3 more doctor visits and several different antifungal creams the itching and irritiation went away. Now, I think maybe over the last month or two I've been noticing that just about everytime after I shave my face I seem to get a bump right on the vermillion border/edge of my upper lip. Sometimes on the left side, sometimes on the right. It is not fluid filled as far as i can tell and it is not a hair follicle. When a bump appears it generally hurts when touched but it is not really large enough to be noticed. It tends to disappear within a week. Right now I have one on the right side of my top lip border but it is almost gone. It appeared on saturday, 1 day after i shaved and it is now wednesday and it is almost gone. Should be gone by tomorrow i think. Any thoughts what the heck this could be? If I keep getting these bumps I'll go to the doctor but it would nice to have some idea of what this could possibly be. Thanks.
