Different doctors, different diagnoses. Depression is real. What do you all think?

On May 16th I kissed someone in the club in India (20% population has herpes), On 18th May I start having this burning sensation around my mouth. The burning sensation was followed by tingling sensation around the entire mouth

No sores develop until 26th May (10 days after exposure and 8 days after burning started), when I notice 3 small red patches inside the lower lip

I visit one dermatologist the next day 27th May. He sees it and says it is Herpes. I asked for a test and he denied. I was devastated and visited another dermatologist right away. She looked at it and said herpes usually forms around the lips and this is just eczema. She gave me Eumosome M which healed the red spots in a day.

The burning sensation, tingling and itching around the mouth still continues. On 3rd June I visit another derma to get the itching checked (different city so didn't go to the one who prescribed Eumosome) and tell her everything. She says this is herpes and wait atleast 4 weeks to get the IGG and IGM to get back. SHE SAID Emosome M cures herpes sore. Is it true?

I visited an ENT as I had sore throat. She looks at my mouth and says it is Acid reflux and there is no HPV or HSV (Currently) and dermas would know better

My question - Burning and tingling and itching for 20 days but no cold sores? Is it herpes or what is it? What is the earliest that IGG and IGM can be tad bit reliable?

Please respond. And do let me know which diagnoses you agree with (Burning is around the whole mouth more in moustache and edges, tingling is on upper lip, itching is on the entire face)

Okay so first, you've gotten great info about the testing. The IgM test is terrible - don't take that.

I have NO idea why no one cultured these spots if they thought it herpes. A simple swab test would have done it.

In any case, no, an antifungal medication would not have healed the sores that fast if it was herpes. Nothing gets rid of cold sores that fast. Nothing - not even antiviral medication.

I mean, at this point, for all we know, you bit the inside of your lip and you have a lot of anxiety causing your symptoms.

67% of the population under 50 globally has oral hsv1. It goes up to 80% if you include the older people. Your parents, your aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc. - at least some of them have it. Many of your friends do, too.

If you've kissed someone before, there's a good chance that they had it. Most people who have it never get symptoms.

I can't tell you what this is, but I'd bet it's not herpes and just a lot of anxiety.

Finally an answer on the antifungal and herpes sore. Thanks a lot. I know the statistics but the anxiety is what is killing me. and I was negative for multiple HSV tests before this

I will get the IGG at 8, 12, and 16 weeks. (8 week one just to calm the anxiety). Initially it was burning, then tingling on specific spots on lips (sores never came) (I was also constantly keeping my lips moisturized with lip balm). And now it is just itching and chappiness.

I AM PRAYING IT IS what the second doctor said cause only she was the one who looked at them with more concern and properly

I guess no one got them swabbed because they were very small red patches and they were not concerned with it.

Thanks for your response and may god bless you all who keep the forum running <3
Also, considering this is my first outbreak. (No HSV in family, negative results previously) shouldn't the outbreak be severe and present outright cold sores
"shouldn't the outbreak be severe and present outright cold sores"

Yes, typically, if you have a new herpes infection, the outbreaks are more severe, though every person is different.

It usually isn't just a few red spots inside the lip, though. It's almost always sores ON the lip.

If this were me, I wouldn't be worrying about this at all. It doesn't sound like herpes at all.

Actually your statistics are wrong. An estimated EIGHTY percent (80 %) of the population has oral herpes. It's cold sores, man. I don't want to minimize your feelings but it is not a big deal. Babies have it. These do not look like pimples. And tingling, etc. is unreliable especially when someone suffers anxiety. Or guilt. Or any other strong emotion. I agree that you may be overthinking it. You can get swabbed to see if it is hsv 1 and you have joined the 80 percent of people on this planet that has it.

I agree but not getting an answer about whether it is herpes or not from the doctors is what is fueling the anxiety. And I don't have any lesions just burning and tingling and itching so a swab isn't possible. Will get IGG and IGM at 6 weeks

Also, red spots inside the bottom lips, cured by anti-fungal cream (applied twice) does that sound like a herpes sore?
