Back with worries

Sorry  to keep beating a dead horse but I'm still convinced I acquired hsv 2.  I have seen grace state that men usually don't get discharge with herpes and fleetwood, I thank you for all you've helped me with, you have said that most men do not get burning urination. I've had both and the discharge was present even after taking antibiotics which furthermore proves a viral infection. Along with my pretty constant pain in the groin and legs (achy pain) again proves a viral infection, however I'm negative at 12 weeks. Grace also states the capita test needs 4 months to be conclusive not 3 and I've also read with a long standing hsv 1 infection like I have that it could take up to 6 months to be positive.

If most men don't get discharge or burning with urination why do all the sites say these are symptoms. Dr. HHH has said if you have a burning penis without sores it's highly unlikely to be hsv 2. When I get oral hsv 1 outbreaks I experience itching, burning, then the sores show up. Again I expect hsv 2 would play out the same but I've read my hsv 1 could cause me not to have significant sores and possibly just cuts or slits in the skin. I've had one or two cuts but not until over like 8 weeks after possible exposure. Those should have shown up with all my other symptoms earlier in this ridiculous fiasco.

I've had every single symptoms listed for hsv 2
Burning urination- yes
Frequency to go pee- yes
Flu like symptoms- yes ( I threw up, stomach upset to the max)
Abdominal pressure-yes
Groin pain- yes
Leg pain- yes
Discharge- yes ( even after takin zithromax and doxy) has to be viral

Burning genitals- yes
Blisters and sores- no-- but like I've said I had a cut, maybe from masterbation or the dry skin. Also according to this site and other my long standing hsv 1 infection can help those not occur AND many people don't get them.

I however have not had any symptoms since about 7 or 8 weeks after except groin and leg aches. I've had one equivocal igm test and one positive. Equivocal at 6 weeks and positive at 11 weeks. Doctor told me I was recently infected and to tell future partners I have hsv 2. Meanwhile, my igg test was negative at 6 weeks and negative at 12 weeks.

With the symptoms I noted above I cannot drop hsv 2 no matter how hard I try. For a few days I was stoked about the igg being negative at 12 weeks but with my ongoing leg and groin aches I don't know what to think. Again I'm back to these boards with questions.
I hate to be so obnoxious about this! The posters here have given me nothing but good feedback and I thank you so much for it. Can anyone elaborate again on what those symptoms were all about, possibly an adenovirus? Or more obviously hsv 2?

You have literally calmed me down. I'm just nervous awaiting this test but I know I need to just let it go. Swab is the best test out there. My blood has been negative. And I am happy at this moment i just think the anxiety is getting to me a little bit and had read some posts where it has been said cultures have that high false negative rate but mine were swabbed quickly especially the ones on my penis.
Thanks for the words bigtime I'll post once again when these results come back from the WB. Happy you're moving on!

Kudos broken for getting those sores swabbed. They weren't herpes bro. Don't stress. Negative swab, you did your due diligence and they are not herpes. I have done the same and that's how I view it! Good job.

Cultures have a high negative tendency because either people wait too long to get a sore swabbed (sore is healing or healed), not enough virus was captured in the sample, or miss handling of the swab prior to arrival to the lab. I would NOT stress any of the above.

I had no open sore or fluid with my lesions but if it was herpes a simple swab over the top would capture the virus. Cultures are sensitive. I have spoken to many HSV positive individuals who stated they had similar lesions swabbed right over the top come back positive via culture. If the lesions were herpes, it would show.

Sounds like you are following in my exact footsteps. My westernblot came back negative at 5 months and my symptoms (pray it stays this way) have gone completely away. I'm thinking because my anxiety is gone. I accepted what is medically available that states I do not have herpes regardless of my symptoms.

I highly suspect your WB will be negative. Like myself, I hope you rest easy knowing you took the best herpes blood test available and it stated you were negative. Move on. I have. No more testing for me.

Even my 6 month ELISA came back with antibody counts lower than ever. I'm done. Accept the WB as true Broken. If you don't, I suggest counseling. Dead serious.

Im jut wondering why alot of posts ive read say cultures have a high false negative rate. Mine were done barely over 24 hours and perhaps not even that long so im confused as to how swabs can have a high rate of negatives being that it is the best way to diagnose hsv 2 in a person. Anybody want to shed some light on that for me i would appreciate it

Just an update my cultures were negative and I should be getting the results from the western blot sometime next week. The negative cultures have helped me settle down and if this western blot comes back negative I will be done with this thing that has become an obsession. I'll post as soon as I get the results.

Trust me man if this all comes back the way I want it to I'm definitely done. I'm obsessed and definitely admitting that but who wouldn't be you know. So many times I've been happy especially when the blood has come back negative but somehow I always find my way back to these boards.

I will let you know the results most definitely bc my situation can help a lot of people. Let's pray I stay negative like you brother and can get passed this. I appreciate all your help man it's given me hope.

We'll be in touch. Time for you to move on but please do me a favor and check back on this board to see my results. Take care man

Your lesions do not sound herpetic. Wait it out and get the results. Negative, then relax if they arise again moving forward.

You're taking a Western Blot right? If and when that's negative, you need to move on. This coming from a herpes obsessed dude. I now, just recently, finally accept my results. You must do the same. You must or I would seek counseling. I was at a certain point. I'm done. Done.
