Boil and unprotected sex.

I am 19 years of age and will be turning 20 not too long from now. I recently had unprotected sex with a female who is apparently "clean". Over the past few days, I have developed a boil on my pubic area. It seems to look like a regular boil because it isn't oozing puss or blood, at the moment.

I have faced some symptoms that have developed over the past couple days. Symptoms such as:
-Headache
-Ache in my gut
-Light stinging sensation on the tip of my penis
-Minor case of dizziness
-Minor stomach pains

Symptoms of my boil only seem to be sensitivity and pain (only with touch).

Tell me, are these all symptoms of herpes or any sort of STD? I am making plans to go to our local public health or health centre.

Any answers, I thank you in advance.

you've had unprotected sex so it's in your best interest to follow up with proper std testing at the proper times. you can get tested for chlamydia, gonorrhea, trich and ngu any time after 1 week post encounter. syphillis after 6 weeks. herpes, hiv and hepatitis after 3 months. we don't have commercially available tests to properly cover the hpv bases for you.

make sure that they also take a look at your boil too. it also should probably be swabbed to check for mrsa too.

have you had your gardasil shot series for hpv yet?

Hello Grace,

Here is an update of the boil since yesterday:

I have taken a bath after I posted this. During the bath, I noticed a white dot developing on the boil. After I cleansed my self with soap, dried myself off, The white dot on the boil has popped. Since then (onto today), It has dried up into a scab. I have taken a shower and it has started to bleed.

Now for the other symptoms, I have been experiencing nausea, headache and some fatigue. Also a little pain in my right rib. Suffering from anxiety and insecurity, I have not been eating well lately. My sleeping hours are messed up. Could all these symptoms be from malnutrition?

I posted the times to test for what because those are the times your testing is accurate. do you know what testing you had done yesterday and if any of it was at the proper times?

did someone look at the lesion for you? did they culture it?

Hello Grace,

My symptoms have gotten worst tonight, so went to our local health centre and got my blood works done. The nurse said that my heart rate was fine; ears seemed to be alright; no pain when he pressed his palms around me.

He gave me some tylenol for the headache and pain.

I've got my blood works taken for:
-hepatitis
-syphilis
-hiv

I also forgot to mention that a year, I've had unprotected sex but I haven't got any blood works done.

all three are the lowest risks of anything you'd pick up from unprotected sex :(

have you had testing for gonorrhea and chlamydia done yet?

did they look at your lesion you have?

Hello Grace,

Thanks for the encouragement. Yes, I have done my testing for gonorrhoea and chlamydia but I will not be expecting results till thursday or friday.

No, the nurse has not looked at my lesion as he said that they'll find a lot of things with the blood exam.

herpes blood testing isn't accurate until 3 months post encounter. depending on the hiv test, depends on if it's accurate before 3 months post encounter.

it was poor medicine for the provider to not exam your actual symptoms :(
