Can a positive hsv1 igg cause an equivocal hsv2 igg score

hi, i recently got diagnosed with hsv1 with a score of 32.80. i would get cold sores when i was little so that was not much of a suprise to me. what im really worrying about is the score i got for hsv2. negative is anything .91 and lower, equivocal is .91 to 1.09 and positive is 1.09 and up. my score was on .91 borderline negative and equivocal. could it be possible for my high hsv1 results to place my hsv2 score that close? the incident im worried of happened 2 weeks prior. would this be enough time to show up on the test?

Yes hsv1 can have this effect. I wouldn't worry at all. Hsv2 tests are very sensitive and can pick up hsv1 antibodies as well as other things. This is why anything less than a 3.5 is suspect for a false positive.
