Can using a vibrator reactivate herpes?

I just contracted herpes a month ago. The first outbreak I didn't get sores but I had all the other symptoms: fever, swollen lymph nodes, lower back pain, sore throat. But when I started to use my vibrator a couple times that's when I started getting tingling and burning in that area for at least four days. Then eventually a cut appeared right at the spot where I usually put the vibrator. I've been using my vibrator for over 12 years and I've never had this problem until I recently contracted herpes. I want to know if using my vibrator reactivates herpes?

I definitely get outbreak every single time I use a vibrator. I'm on long-term treatment and it works just fine. But if I use a vibrator I need to triple my dosage to deal with the outbreak, fever, stomachache, pain when urinating etc.

I used a vibrator and I haven’t had an op in about a year, then the night I used it I have a flare up the next morning when I woke up.

It may not be the vibrator, but the friction to the area that is triggering an ob. Perhaps try using lube with it. It could also be coincidental, especially if you are using the same vibe that you've been using for years. If it's a new one made of new material you aren't used to, that could be it.

I had the strangest thing happen to me this week. I used my vibrator on my clit, but then turn right around to use it in the area beside my clit, and it was on there for several mins...longer than i ever leave it there, and a few hoursafter my O I noticed I started having sharp pains in that area. I went right away and took some meds, but it was too late. I had my 1st outbreak in over a year and couldnt figure out what triggered it....until now. My vibrator must have awakened a beast cause Im paying for it now.

Yep, I haven't used one in years but decided to last week. Was nearly healed from an outbreak & thought it would be ok. Pow-ya! An outbreak in the pubes which is odd, & this morning an area where I haven't had an outbreak in years. I'm all messed up! Damn!

I contracted herpes from my boyfriend about a month ago. I believe you're right when you say that the vibrator may aggravate herpes more. Thank you

It is impossible for vibrator to bring you herpes since you never let others to use your vibrator.

When you are having an outbreak, vibrator may aggravate your herpes symptoms since your skin are more sensitive at that time.
