I agree with joejoe. Your risk eas nearly zero. In fact i can't recollect anyone on this forum ever getting hsv like you describe.single protected encounter.
Condoms offer very good protection. You will read they are only 30% effective. This is for having a long term regular partner with hsv. Not for a single encounter.
Another interesting thought. You know the stories of politicians, celebrities and other important types being busted when the madem blows the wistle. How many have been caught due to bringing herpes home to their wives???
Thank you. I admit I am probably just freaking myself out. One final question. Is it possible to have the prodrome symptoms before a primary outbreak such as tingling in the legs and groin area? Do these symptoms combined signify anything without the presence of sores or lesions? Thank you again.
Your encounter was very very low risk. No risk from her finger touching. I would relax (if you can) and see if e everything starts to sunside.
Thank you for your willingness to help. It seems as though my encounter was brief and low risk. The touching would've been just a finger on the outside of my anus or buttocks and not insertion. Everything else covered and protected with brief genital rubbing while she was on top. Are there any others I should be concerned about but definitely not Hsv? I should put this out of my mind if it seems as though this encounter was so low risk.
All this sounds more like being hyper aware tban anything.
The csw removed the condom and used a wet rag to wipe down my genital area at the end of the session. She may have touched my anus during the session. This has been causing me some worry but otherwise no unprotected sex occurred. It was dark so I didn't see if she had any sores or lesions but nothing looked wrong at the time.
Anal discharge looks yellowish and is mostly stuck to hairs around the anus. No sores or lesions present.
Describe the anal discharge.
The problem with symptom lists is understanding the context of said symptoms. Your cold like symptoms are nothing like the flu symptoms associated with hsv. These include fever, swollen groin lymph nodes and body aches. This is usually very miserable and many folks end up in the ER. your symptoms suggest high stress or something else but not herpes.
Thank you. I've had some minor sinus irritation and stuffy nose. That could be from heavy drinking and not hsv. The anal discharge and combination of symptoms is causing fear but certainly no flu symptoms yet. The symptoms list can lead one to believe they are coming down with an infection. Appreciate your willingness to answer on the forum.
Hold it together and stop reading the hsv symptoms list. Tingling is NOT a symptom of a primary outbreak. First tbing you would notice is lesions forming. Tingling or crawling is a prodrome symptom which is the virus making it's way back to the surface. If you had flu like symptoms with swollen lymph nodes... you'd know it. There wouldn't be any "I think there swollen". This isn't herpes.
Does hsv cause a rectal discharge?
I'm getting worried. I've developed what I think are swollen lymph nodes and tingling sensations. I'm not sure if it's my nerves or not. Day 10 with no sores or lesions, just what I think is an ingrown hair bump. I've been having a bit of tingling and itching around the anus but not sure if this is related as well. At what point should I consider myself in the clear?
Yes, because you wouldn't get either symptom with a primary outbreak
There are studies of couples where one has herpes another doesn't and the transmission rate was very low. Like 5 percent for 12 months. With no obvious outbreak I'd say the chances are probably in the one in millions. With and outbreak probably a lot higher
