Positive IGM test result but a Negative IGG result on my blood test

I recently went to the doctor for blood work and I was all clean except for a positive IGM result which was 20. The reference range for HSV titer is under 10. My Herpes Select test was normal for both type 1 and 2. I had a couple one night stands about 3 months ago but I always use a condom ... ALWAYS.
I get a pimple in my groin area every once in a while but my doctor said it is nothing to worry about. It's never a cluster or more than one ... or anything like herpes is supposed to be. I've read about the IGM results are sometimes wrong. Do I need to go back to get another blood test in a month or two or am I probably ok?? My doctor says I have nothing to worry about ... I am worried though

the igm herpes tests we currently have are greatly flawed. Plenty of posts here on medhelp by myself, HHH, Dr Hook and Terri about this.

Your herpeselect igg blood test ( confirm that indeed that's what you had for igg testing ) was negative so no need for further herpes testing at this point.

I can't answer about the test but I wanted to let you know a condom does NOT prevent HSV because it doesn't cover all your skin that is exposed/rubs another person which is how HSV is transferred. One nighters are so NOT worth it!
