Confusion all the way around

Lets just start this, I dated a guy and we once took a shower together. I also had sex with him once and it was protected, he takes 800 mg of acyclovir a day, and he has not had an outbreak in two years. I was recovering from a nasty BV infection. I also had a form of HPV that I was treated for and is gone. But it was not one that caused genital warts.
I have a very very overactive mind and I have been driving myself crazy. I am itchy, but I have been itchy and I was just treated with a different regimen for BV. AT no point did he touch me skin to skin contact except in the shower. I have been tested three times now, in blood and they each cam back negative, once at 6 weeks after, another at three months and once at four months. My biggest issue is that I live in California and I have been getting awful razor burn on my right side but only that side. I am slightly paranoid and I will admit it. I had it swabbed once and it was negative.
I know that my chances are low, but I have read so many stories where people come back positive after six months. I am not longer dating this person. I felt my paranoia was too much. This itching is still there, but BV causes that, oh and I swim and surf so in between all of this I did see my GYN and had a yeast infection. I think I may just be paranoid. What are the chances that antibodies for the IGG are not in my system. Because I do get folliculits usually after shaving.
I just started seeing someone new and he is amazing. I just want to be sure I am not risking his health.

Thank you. onlyhuman. I actually read four books on ways to help deal with anxiety. Coping mechanisms and ways to not worry over everything. I am a healthcare provider, but it is so hard to try and care for yourself. However ridiculous that may sound. This has just been a rough month. Coping one issue at a time.
Life360. I have read so much almost too much I think. I have read several cases to where the blood tests came back negative after this mark and then later on without any other partners individuals came back positive. I am just confused based on the dermatitis that I have experienced. Though it is def not like what people have described. It is more like an infected hair follicle, But I have read on these forums that is something that can be mistaken.

Hi also. if you tested negative after 3 months and did not have any interaction in the midterm  then you dont have herpes.

It is not paranoia, it is anxiety. Paranoia is worrying about something that isn't real, the chances of contracting a virus from sex is a real issue and you aren't crazy for worrying.

I'm not really the one here who knows much about herpes but it sounds like you don't have herpes from what I have read. I have just gone through a lot of anxiety over having complete unprotected sex with a female of unknown status and I turned out to be okay thus far

The fact that he was on suppressive therapy, had sex only once, and used protection, make the chance of you contracting herpes very very very slim here in my opinion. I think you are letting your anxiety get the best of you which I have been through as well and everything will turn out okay.

You have been tested at the conclusive mark in modern day tests and everything is pointing to that you do not in fact have herpes, you should trust your results. Take care
