Confusion

I took a full std panel test and everything came back negative except for HSV2.  The test used was ELISA type specific test and my results were :

Herpes Simplex Virus Type 1 - 0.91 - Negative

Herpes Simplex Virus Type 2 - 1.20-  Positive

It says the range for negative results are from 0.00-0.90.  I never had any symptoms before and just shocked with the results because I just did the Full STD Panel just for a routine check-up . Are these results accurate? I have been hearing a lot about my results being a low  positive . My other question is how am I negative for type 1 herpes if my results were over the 0.90 negative mark?  Any useful answers will be appreciated. Thanks

with that value maybe 6 weeks. But determing test results with low positives we take into consideration thing like any outbreaks and sexual lifestyle and all of yours point to a false positive for sure.

Well I have been with the same partner for the past 8 months and they have got tested 6 months ago and everything was negative . My partner also said they have never tested positive for any type of herpes.

Hi. Your negative for hsv1 as anything below 1 is negative as for hsv2, low positives can mean a recent infection or a false positive. When did you test after your last sexual encounter?
