Could i have transmitted oral herpes to my genitals?

Hello everyone, im new to this forum and have joined to ask you this question because im so very paranoid that i have unfortunately spread herpes to my genitals, Im a 17 year old male. About 2-3 weeks ago i went to the doctors for a check up and pointed out what resembled a cold sore in the corner of my mouth, it was the first time i had ever seen something like this on my face and was very mild and i didnt experience any symptoms and i don't remember having any blisters prior to the sore. I had this for about 4 weeks before going to the doctors and it disappeared a week after he prescribed me an ointment called "Otocomb otic", he didnt take any swabs or blood tests.. he just said it could be herpes (which i found was very unprofessional) . And these past couple of days i noticed what it looked like to be a red pimple with a head on the left side of my penis just underneath in an area where i shave that i squeezed and white stuff came out, and now its still there as a red bump, also i noticed some very tiny skin coloured bumps about 4-5 of them underneath my penis about half way up, and finally a single red pimple like thing with no head where my pubic region meets the base of my penis and it is slightly crusty, all of which arent itchy or tingley i get a slight itch every now and again which i have always done, but i am very scared and paranoid this might be herpes, is it possible this isnt herpes and just pimples or something else? or is it herpes and im just having mild symptoms? I dont know, im scared and i need your help :(

even if you do have oral herpes, not likely at all that you transmitted it to your genital area.  it's almost impossible that you'd transmit your oral herpes to your genital area.

your oral symptoms you had could've been herpes but they sound more like angular cheilitis.  the topical steroid in the medicine your provider gave you would help the redness from that go away too as well as it has an antifungal in too which helps.  should this reoccur, you can be seen promptly and request a herpes lesion culture or pcr swab of symptoms within 48 hours of their appearance for better answers. another option is to seek out a type specific herpes igg blood test 3 months after you last kissed anyone.

your genital symptoms sound like a folliculitis or even normal skin bumps more than anything.

are you sexually active?

if you test + on the igg blood test for hsv1, no way to know if you already had hsv1 prior to meeting this partner or where it is located. typically it's oral.

Thank you for you help grace, do you think that if i had contracted hsv1 in the past couple of weeks that i would have enough antibodys in my system to detect the virus with the blood test?

Also if i come back positive will it also tell me where the virus is located? Genitals or oral or both? (even though its rare but still possible)

And the little bumps i have had on my penis have seemed to almost completely disappear, does hsv1 act this way?

Thank you in advance :)

1 out of every 3 people your age has hsv1. only 20-40% of them get obvious cold sores to know that they are infected. the best thing to do would be for both of you to seek out type specific herpes igg blood testing to see who has what so you can make educated decisions about what precautions to take.

your genital symptoms don't really sound like genital herpes. I wouldn't think that she transmitted hsv1 to your genital area during oral sex.

Also she had performed oral on me and kissed me while she was feeling symptoms but not yet had been diagnosed with glandular fever. Is it possible i have gotten herpes from her performing oral on me while this virus was active?

Thank you so much for the reply grace, I just googled angular cheilitis and what i had looked almost exactly the same as that, and so is it best i see a doctor as soon as possible?? or should i wait out for a week or two to see how these red bumps act?

Yes i am currently sexually active with my girlfriend of 1 year, i told her about my self diagnosis of the herpes cold sore (that may not have been) on my face and i stopped performing oral on her to eliminate the risk of me possibly spreading it to her and didn't kiss her while i had the sore, we always practice safe sex and she performs oral on me, i asked her if she has ever had cold sores or any condition like that and she said she didn't so i wouldn't have gotten it from her, however she currently has been diagnosed with glandular fever could this at all be linked to what i am getting? as i have heard it has some connection to herpes.
