Could this be Herpes?

I received unprotected oral sex about almost 1 month ago. I noticed an infection of balanitis less than 24 hours later (I'm uncircumsized). This infection cleared up after about a week using an anti-fungal cream. However the other symptom I've been having is a dull ache/pain along the side of my penis shaft with pain radiating down my right leg. This has continued to come and go over the last 3.5 weeks, including slight pain and tingling in my right foot. Haven't had any sores but I read that this pain could be a symptom of herpes (prodrome), which makes the stress even worse. My question is what are the odds that this could be HSV1 or 2? There was no intercourse but I know HSV can still be caught from oral sex.

Nothing you describe sounds like herpes. Drs on this site state prodromal symptoms like leg pain is for recurring herpes not first time infections. Symptoms can't appear within 24 hours. Your pain may be related to other things like trauma prostatitis or bacterial/viral infection but not herpes. Hsv2 is very unlikely to be from oral. Hsv1 is only realistic one but even that is unlikely. Have you ever had a cold sore? Many including myself never had an outbreak until randomly one day and was shocked to discover i had it. But it's very common something like at least 50% of people have it so don't be surprised if you test positive. Regardless Oral sex is considered very low risk and safe so you should feel at ease.
