Do I Have herpes

Hello all,

I feel that i may have come in contact with herpes on February 8th, 2010.  From February 8th - February 14th I experienced a burning/tingling sensation in and around my urethra on the glans.  The day after the burning/tingling i noticed a tiny 1-2mm redspot on my glans about an inch away from the uthera, which gained a tiny whitehead on the centre of the redspot.

Does this sound like herpes?  My doctors apointment is next week, and i cannot sleep/eat/drink.

Thank you for your help and kindess.

If you say the symptoms started the same day as the possible exposure (the 8th) it can't be herpes.  No STDs (or any viruses for that matter) cause symptoms the same day of the exposure. However, an allergic reaction to condom/spermicide would.

In any case, unusual genital symptoms should be evaluated by a healthcare professional ASAP. Definitely be seen tomorrow. Waiting a week would increase the chances that the doctor wouldn't be able to take a reliable sample!
