Can saliva from a person with Herpes Simplex 1 transmit to genital Herpes

I had sex with my partner and during the interaction he spit on me for lubrication he has said before he has had the common herpes most people have in the world.  I was wondering if saliva can transmit to me in any way.  I am a female.  Another detail is that he did have a cut in his mouth from his wisdom teeth pushing in so he was bleeding a bit earlier in the day.  I am afraid I may have it because I have symptoms of horrible pain in the opening area of my vagina that if I insert my finger there and apply pressure it hurts a fair bit.  I have discomfort when sitting or moving my vagina.  I have discharge that secretes so much at one time it feels like im peeing and soak my pants.  Lastly it smells acidic.  I found a dot on the upper part of my vagina above my clitoris and the beginning of my hair.  I seriously do not know what I have because I have had problems becasue i have pcos and thyroid issues that link to me having utis and vaginosis but I have never had this pain in the opening of my vagina ever. thank you for reading my problem!

Did they type it? My friend had a similar event, but it turned out to be herpes 2. But yours is herpes 1. If it is you might not ever have another outbreak. My friends boyfriend had herpes two on his inner thigh and that’s how he passed it.

Hsv is not concentrated in bodily fluids. Saliva is a very inefficient way to spread the virus. Saliva actually help break down the virus and kill it. I surely do not think you contracted hsv from this. In fact I have never had anyone contract the virus like you describe.

So I would like to update this problem and I would Like to inform the people who said that it would be negative.  I was pretty much the rare person to actually contract hsv1 through spit.  I did more extensive research where it is mainly impossible but I had a really low immune system and he had a cut in his mouth from his wisdom tooth coming out and his gums were bleeding beforehand.  Sadly he had no outbreaks on his face and i still contracted it.  Im unlucky and it was really depressing because I was protected when this happened...
Did you swab the area and it came back positive?
yes i did :)

Hello~I don't think you can contract herpes from spitting, but I would certainly make an appointment with a gyn to make sure and to find out why you are having the pain and extra secretions.

Spitting can't spread herpes. It is fragile and inactivated in air. Check with your doc or a clinic to find what you have but it isn't herpes.
