Do I have herpes?

I had unprotected vaginal and oral sex 10 (Thursday) days ago with somebody I don't know.  Immediately afterwards I had a bruise on the head of my penis and maybe a couple other small red marks (don't think that would relate to anything).  This was at a 4 day camping/concert event.  4 days of drinking heavily and 9 (Friday) days ago I never went to bed so I was up for 50ish hours - and you don't get real good sleep in a camper with no AC.  The following Tuesday (5 days after sex) I felt extremely sick - dizzy, nausea, a little bit of weakness, chills (I don't think I had a fever that went with it) and lymph nodes were swollen in the neck and groin area.  This lasted a little less than 48 hours.  A couple days pass and I notice no marks on my penis, the bruise has gone away, however the shaft is a little red.  Last night I felt a little nausea and dizziness again and I still have nothing on my penis (other than maybe one red dot around the head, the redness on my shaft seems to have went away or is almost gone).  My lymph nodes in the groin area are still a little swollen/tender I believe but it's hard to tell.  I put some hydrocortisone on my shaft last night where it was red and it seemed to make my shaft burn a little bit.  I've had a little bit of tingling and discomfort in my balls but other than that those are the only symptoms I have had.  I plan on getting tested for at least herpes but from what I read I'm better off waiting a couple months and then get a blood test.  I'm not all that sexually active, I was wasted and made a big mistake whether or not I have herpes or some other STD.

Do you think I have herpes or could I have been fighting some other infection?  Or could not getting enough sleep have anything to do with it?  Is there anything else I should worry about.  Herpes has been my main concern because of the symptoms.  I've probably checked my penis every hour because I have been freaking out about this.

Thanks!

dosnt sound like herpes. herpes dosnt cause the sort of symptoms you describe without obvious genital lesions. wait out the 12 weeks and go get tested.
