Is it a Cold sore or a lip infection?
My lady has a habit of picking her lips until they bleed. 7 days ago she picked it and it bled a little. The next day she woke up her lip was very swollen around the area she picked and got bigger through out the day. It oozed, peeled and bled. 3 days later the swelling goes down but the area around is still reddish with it scabbed over some from the ooze and skin still peeling. She's never had a cold sore before and never have I. I'm worried about it possibly being one though as she stays picking with it and could spread it. It's been 7 days and it's still there, though it's not as red around the area and not oozing as much. I never saw any blisters form on it. Any ideas if it something to be alarmed or just a normal infection.
Sounds like she infected herr lip. You can both get tested to see if either of you have hsv1
