Redness and sensitivity after cold sore healed?

I had my cold sore heal about 2 weeks ago and there's still a little redness at the site and done tenderness i notice when i apply pressure. Never had this after an OB before. This past OB was very large and painful and peeled off a lot causing a little bleeding. Just hope this isn't like dinner permanent scar damage or something

I'm not sure what your question is, exactly. If you had cut your lip or injured it somehow, it wouldn't be unusual for there to be some lingering sensitivity a couple of weeks later.

If you had a particularly big outbreak, it may take longer for the sensitivity to ease.

How often are you getting the outbreaks? Have you considered going on suppression?
