My husband had a cold sore and we had oral sex on a sat.   How long does it usually take for he first ob to show up? And how long it lasts?    I'm trying to figure out where I'm at in the ob and how much longer it will last.  I need to know there is a light soon or I don't think I can make it .....and. During the last 2 years my husband and I have had oral sex before  and this never happened.        So why this time?    Could I have been infected by my first husband ( he never had it as far as I know) and it was dormant ?     Or was it from the cold sore?  Help. If you have had the correct IgG antibody testing 6 months after possible exposure. Note that possible exposure means any sex, hence if you are referring to no sex in the 6 months leading into the test then you can be confident that you do not have genital herpes.

One pus filled lesion is most likely not herpes, this is not what they do.
