I'm at a lost and need some assistance

On 01-25-2018 I noticed some lesions on my penis. They weren't painful. The next day i noticed my right lymph node in my groin was swollen. On 01-30-18. I went to the dr and was clinical diagnosed with genital herpes. My dr prescribed me with 30 1g of valacyclovir with no instructions on taking them. I took 1g of valacyclovir every day for 30 days. My last day taking valacyclovir was 02-28-18. I took a igG herpeselect blood on 4-3-18 and it was negative. I was told that the antivirals affected my test and i would have to be off of them for 12 weeks. So i tested again for hsv 1 and 2 on 05-24-18 exactly 12 weeks off of antivirals and it was negative. I asked the girl whom i was sleeping with to go get tested and she did only problem is her dr used IgM but it was negative not that it means anything. Can i trust a 12 week negative test?

Hi first of all having a genital out break would be painful blisters so if they were not painful i would rule out herpes. Testing with the IGG would be required not IGM.

Yes i tested with the igG at 12 weeks off of antivirals should i continue testing?
Were you diagnosed with a visual? Did they do a culture? If you were only diagnosed with a visual exam, and no cultures, believe the blood tests.
No culture was done when i went to the dr. I did make it into the local clinic 2 weeks after noticing the lesions and 1 week on antivirals and of course the swab came back negative. That's why i got off antivitals for 12 weeks and tested again
