Concerned.. herpes?

I have been seeing my partner for about five months now and on March 21st, we had protected sex twice. We had put off sexual activity for a while because I have some trust issues within myself (nothing that he has done), that makes me doubt people's honesty. After he reassured me that he had been checked in January and came back negative for everything, I then proceeded to make sure he did not have any bumps or lesion present on his genitals. Everything looked fine. He also told me he had never had unprotected sex before, but I just doubt this (my mind always goes to the negative). Anyway, we engaged in sexual activity. I have not had any symptoms yet, and it has been two months. I also got tested at 3 weeks and 5 days (almost 4 weeks) and everything came back negative besides hsv 1, but i have tested positive for this for years. I am still concerned that maybe I have been exposed to hsv 2 and just do not have symptoms. I am getting up the courage to go back to the doctor in about a week to test again, but i am so nervous. Also, my partner and i have only engaged in sex that one time because we are long distance.

What do you think the likelihood of me NOT having hsv 2 is?

Should i still be worried?

I know that if you are newly infected, you will get symptoms in 2-10 days and I did not get this. I could of only gotten this from him because I have not been with anyone but him in months & I got tested before him.

Lately, my butt seems to go numb whenever I sit on it or lay on it for too long. It never gets numb when I'm not sitting, only when I'm sitting. It'll start to tingle and then go numb. Also, sometimes my veins in my legs feel like ice cold water. The leg pains don't hurt, do not travel up my leg and only last for seconds. I've been feeling this way for two weeks. I feel like I started noticing this after I read that tingling in your back & leg can be a sign of herpes. But I have no bumps or lesions yet after two months.

Is this a sign of herpes or am I really overthinking it?

Hi, with him not having any genital sores, contracting hsv2 from a one time protected affair, your risk would be close to zero. Also most everyone would test negative at 3 weeks as 8 weeks would be a good indicator. Takes time for antibodies to show up.

Has anyone ever seen someone test negative at 3 & a half weeks, and then later test positive for hsv 2 (if they had no further exposure)?
