Test results for HSV2 help

Hi, I want to start by saying a thank you to this community for allowing me to ask a question and ease my mind. I went to for a regular check up a month ago to my local clinic. I did not know I was tested for herpes and I came pack positive for HSV1 and HSV2. My HSV1 was 74.6H<.90 and HSV2 was .94<.90 . Now I tested myself again two weeks after and I got my results again and got this results HSV1 60<.90 and .99<.90 do you guys think I'm a false positive?

You are definitely hsv1 positive. Statistically, this is an oral infection, even if you've never had a cold sore. About half the adult population has this, and 90% will never get a cold sore.

Your hsv2 isn't actually positive. It's equivocal, or indeterminate, and barely, at that. Positive is anything over a 1.10, and most experts and the CDC feel that anything under a 3.5 needs to be confirmed since it could be a false positive.

When was your last possible exposure? My only concern would be that your results are getting higher - very slightly, but it's an increase, and if you've recently been exposed, you could be developing antibodies.

If it's been more than 4 months since your last possible exposure - sex even with a condom - then I wouldn't worry too much about this. If it's been more recent than that, you should test again at 4 months.
