Protected oral sex but herpes worry!!

Hello all,

I am a 25 year old male. Back in June 2013 I received protected oral sex from a female stripper for approximately 5 minutes. She did not have any cold sores (at least that I could see). Less than 48 hours later, I had a very painful burning sensation in my genital area that lasted the entire day from what I can recall and then went away the next day. Since then, I have experienced burning during urination and some mild pain in the genital area. I haven't noticed any blisters or anything like that.

I of course became worried and had urine tests done for chlamydia and gonorreah, which have been done multiple times over the course of this approximate 10 month span, which have all come back Negative. I have also had two igg blood tests for herpes - one at 5 months and the other at 9 months - both of which have come back Negative.

My mind goes right to herpes for the cause of these symptoms. Can I trust the blood test results? Could someone suggest if something other than herpes is causing this problem or is do my symptoms sounds like herpes?

Wake up call!  Amend your sexual behavior about casual sex....  I have had herpes for over 25 years.  Yes, it subsides, but it never goes away.  I really have curtailed my unbridled quest for sexual partners.  I am straight, but they say that whenever you have sex with someone, you are having sex with every partner that they had ever been with.

Based on your description, you may have NSU (Non Specific urethraitis) or an infection of your urethra.  Ask your doctor who may Rx some antibiotics.  Drink plenty of fluids, too, to keep your urethra flushed out. NSU is what sailors would usually get from being out at sea for extended periods of time, pull into port and have sex with the first female that they encountered so much that he would be raw inside and out.  As a Navy corpsman, I saw plenty of these cases.

If youve had these since last june it might be from some else prior. Things like Trich which is a parasite could cause them. Is it possible that your causing thme yourself by constant pulling anc checking as with the condom nothing could get inside.

Thank you for your response. Any ideas as to what would cause those symptoms? Maybe fungal or bacterial?

Hi, if you received protected oral there would not be any risk to contract herpes as the friction rubbing took place on the condom itself not your penis.
