Genital to Oral HSV-1 transmission

As a female with HSV-1, I am wondering the risks associated to a partner performing oral on me.  What is the chance they would get infected with HSV-1 orally?  I have had HSV-1 for 20 years.  Over that time I have had about 4-5 outbreaks during the 1st 10 years and none during the last 10 years.

it's not any more likely to transmit to the oral area just because it's hsv1 if that's what you were wondering?

I would for sure make sure any potential partner was tested for EVERYTHING prior to anything happening sexually.  I will only be young and dumb once in my life.  At the time I contacted HSV-1, I had no idea that a cold sore could be spread to my genitals.

I mainly posted my question because most of the information on this site didn't directly address the genital to oral transmission rates for HSV-1.  It only talked about HSV-2.

Thank you for answering my question.

hsv1 genitally doesn't shed very often at all. you can transmit it to a partner but the risk is low.

has your partner been tested to know their own status?
