Thank you Grace. I went to my GP this morning and he referred me to a specialist. I went over in the noon, and the female specialist, after reading the doc's referral letter and going through my report, says to ignore the results as I have no symptoms before and till date. She added that as my reading is quite low though over the range, sometimes the lab has changes in their range too, so she said its highly a 'false positive'. However, she told me to take note of any symptoms and to come back if it happens.
Thanks for the replies and suggestions! (:
I don't know what your confirmatory testing options are in your country to recommend any. Check to see if you can find a herpes support group locally to see if someone there knows your options. At the very least, repeat your blood test in another month and go from there since it's a low positive.
3 months. I spoke to the doctor about the results and he told me it was a negative despite the guide of accessing the results that it is positive. So I was quite confused.
Other than the one time I had UTi, I never had any symptoms at all.
your hsv2 igg is a low positive and possibly a false positive. you'll need further testing to confirm your status.
how long prior to being tested had you last had sex?
