Herpes test result

I recently decided to get tested for STDs everything came negative except hsv 1 and hsv2 here are my results hsv1 igg test 4.69 hsv 2 1.46  I have had cold sores before so I thought it would be positive for hsv1 but I have never had any outbreaks down there I haven't had sex for almost a year and my last partner who i was with tested negative for all his STDs while I was with him for the whole year my questions is what are the chances of being negative for hsv 2 although 2 doctors who i have seen says it's impossible I still can not get over this my whole reason of not being with anyone for this past year was exactly to avoid STDs and let me add that in all my paps mear no doctor has ever told me I has sings of herpes I also had the chicken pox when i was little

the igm herpes test is a greatly flawed test and should never be drawn on adults. it's useless for you.

you need the herpes WB. if there is a quest lab near you, your provider can order it through them using the code I listed.

Thanks Grace I have asked around how to get the WB test but my doctors haven't heard about it I asked my doc if I should do and igm to see if it's a recent virus cause I have read that if u test positive on igm it could mean a recent infection but doctor said it doesn't idk what to believe doctors say one thing and Internet another

your hsv2 igg is a low positive and will need confirmed with further testing. we recommend a herpes WB blood test. if your provider uses quest labs it's test#34534.

pap tests are not std testing.
