Life, I didn't see your comment until now. I have been reading more and some facts may indicate that the 3.02 reading might be a false positive, especially with the very high HSV1 result. Do you think this is possible? Should I seek a Western Blot or Biokit test for HSV2?
Thanks
Not too much that can be added. Could cross reactivity and stray proteins be causing your HSV2 result to be a false positive? A chance that they are.
Perhaps consider a WB test for confirmation, this is all you can consider.
The values otherwise are quite meaningless for timing of infection determination.
Does anybody have experience with this issue?
Thanks!!
Hi, high and low number really dont mean anything but it could be assumed that the higher could infer an older infection with more antibody buildup but this is only theroy.
