Did I transmit Herpes to a baby

hi, I believe I have herpes because 7 months ago I had an genital lesion which believe to be herpes. I probably got that from oral sex although I never been tested but my dermatologist suggest that it might be herpes.

I've read that one way of transmitting the virus is by skin to skin contact and you can even transmit even when there is not visible symptom this cause me a concern that I might have transmitted to the baby of my friend when I hold his hands, because a day after that the baby develop a chicken pox like rash on her face then we rush him to the hospital and the doctor say it is not a chicken pox because the rashes only occur in his face.

I felt a little guilty that I might be responsible for the baby's sickness. It is possible that by just 10 seconds of holding a hand I able to transmit the virus?

First and foremost, please get tested. How on earth did your dr not test tbe lesion and do a blood test. Never go bt a vusual diagnosis of hsv. Statistically 50% of visual diagnosis are wrong.
For our discussion lets say you have genital hsv. There is no chance you gave this baby hsv by holding him. Genital herpes is an std and that means it takes sexual contact to spread the virus. You can breathe easy.
