Red spots

I am a diabetic and recently I have noticed some red spoys on the palms of my hands. They did not itch but started to peel. They are smaller than a dime. I had three in one hand and four in the other hand. Does anyone have a clue to what causes this. They have sinced healed but they are still visible. Please give me some insite.
