HVS 1 and HVS 2 infection by hand touch

Hello Terri Warren,

Thank you for your great support and professionalism for those people who are conceded with hvs 1 and hvs2.  My question is about the infection by hvs2.  I went to a bar and met a female who touched my private area (the head of my penis) with her hands for 20 mins in the bar.  I touched her private part on her underwear so that I didn’t touch her private area directly.  However, I touched her private area hairs.  We didn't do anything else.  I went to a men’s bathroom and released myself with my hands.  I thought that everything was ok, but after 5 days, I have got a red color rash on the head of my penis.  It doesn't hurt at all and the size is small. The shape is irregular.  It hasn't blistered for 7 days.  It is not raised. There has been no change on the red rash since 7 days ago.  I tried anti-fungal cream for 4 days.  It doesn't work at all and I put antibiotics cream for 4 days.  It doesn't work.  Now I am assuming that it has something to do with hvs2 or hvs1.  Is my assumption reasonable?  I have already got cold sore (hvs1) since my childhood.  Is still possible that hvs1 can infect my private area? Maybe she had hvs1 virus on her hands when she touched me.  Or does hvs2 infect me?  Your answer will be gratefully appreciated.  Thank you so much for your support!

Thank you for your comment.  Is there any place where I can go to find out what the problem is with confidentiality? I don't want my work place find out this.

Based on your description, for sure this isn't herpes and it has nothing to do with the non-risky event in the bar.  Most genital rashes are not herpes or other STDs.  If it continues, see a doctor.

Another small rash appeared today which is 1 cm apart from original rash. The original one is diminishing. I don't know what they are.  Please let me know that that is not hsv2 symptom.

Thank you!

Thank you for your answer.  I appreciate it.  However, if it has something with fungal or bacterial, why couldn't I get rid of it by using anti-fungal cream and by using antibiotics cream?

There is no way this episode would result in a genital HSV infection of any kind. The virus simply cannot transfer this way. Seek medical advice for your penis issues and I'd be thinking fungal or bacterial.
